In his successful property career now spanning over 20 years, driven by his passion for design, master-planning and actively creating vibrant and successful precincts and venues, Mitchell Humphreys formed Future Proof in January 2017 after identifying the need for
a more tailored approach to proactive asset enhancement in the increasingly competitive Retail and Hospitality market. 

Future Proof provides Clients (commercial property owners, developers, tenants/business owners) with selective tools, resources and frameworks to ensure their ventures (centres, precincts, foyers, laneways,retail stores, bars and restaurants) are developed or re-positioned utilising the best industry expertise and that the applied systems, management, operations and branding all hold relevance
for their markets long term.

After pioneering off-the-plan residential CBD apartment sales in the mid-90’s, Mitchell then entered his 17 year career in commercial property at Fitzroys for 14 years, leaving his post of Associate Director in 2013 to take up the role of State Director of Retail for JLL until the end of 2016. 

Mitchell has became known for his expertise in the strategic design and creation of the tenancy mix of some of Melbourne’s most iconic
laneway precincts, such as Degraves Street and Equitable Place and for identifying ‘draw-card’ retail and hospitality offers for major office
tower developments, notably Mr Grazier at NAB Docklands and Supernormal at 171 Collins.
